Top Ten Tuesday || 10 Anticipated Releases

Hello and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we create a list of 10 (or however many you can think of) items that fit into the given topic for the week. This week’s topic is Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of The Year.

Gemina by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

Publication Date: Oct. 18th

Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed. The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminae continues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault. Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion. When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands. But relax. They’ve totally got this. They hope. Once again told through a compelling dossier of emails, IMs, classified files, transcripts, and schematics, Gemina raises the stakes of the Illuminae Files, hurling readers into an enthralling new story that will leave them breathless.

YES, Empire of Storms, give it to me NOW! LOL. I’m also excited for Girl in Pieces, although I didn’t put it on my list. I’m really hoping this debut doesn’t let me down because I haven’t been having much luck with them this year.

I think Girl in Pieces will be first debut novel I’ve read this year. I kind of cheated in that I already have an ARC of the book, but I’m looking forward to reading it and I’ve heard great things about it!

I’m sooooo excited for Empire of Storms, although it’s bittersweet. We’re running out of ToG novels to read! I can’t believe the last one comes out next year. D:

P.S. I have no clue what Empire of Storms is about. I haven’t read the synopsis yet. xD

Thank you! Me too! I haven’t decided if I want to read the synopsis for Empire of Storms or go in completely blind. Either way, it can’t get here fast enough! (Except maybe not too fast… 😉 )

I think it’ll be great as well! I’m not quite finished with Six of Crows yet, but what I’ve read so far is making me super excited for the sequel! I love Leigh Bardugo’s world building and just writing style in general.

Thanks for stopping by, I’ll be sure to check out your post!

If I’m totally honest, I’m getting a little ahead of myself by adding A Torch Against the Night to my list. However depsite the fact that I haven’t read An Ember in the Ashes yet, I’m still really excited for the sequel. Perhaps if I time it right, I’ll be able to read one right after the other. 😉

I’ll be sure to check out your TTT! 😀

Ahhh my TBR is going to be drowning after this year!! I must admit I’m not as excited for the last half of the 2016 releases as I was for the beginning of 2016, but that won’t stop me from buying them xD
You have a great list here, however most of them aren’t on my list because a majority of them are sequels & I haven’t read the first novel of them, lol.

Here’s my TTT if you are interested: https://jbelkbooks.wordpress.com/2016/06/14/top-ten-tuesday-25/
