You Are Precisely My Cup of Tea | Get to Know Me Tag

Hello everyone! I was tagged by Heather (aka The Sassy Book Geek) a while ago to do this tag. Thank you so much for tagging me and I’m sorry it’s taken me a while to get around to it! Better late than never, right? 😉 Anyway, this tag was a lot of fun to do because it gives you guys a chance to (as the name suggest) get to know the blogger behind the books. (I just thought of The King and I, then proceeded to listen to and sing along to ‘Getting to Know You.’)

Let’s jump into the nitty gritty, shall we?

Vital Stats

meName: Carrianne
Nicknames: C, CA, Carrie, Peanut, Sunshine.
Birthday: September 4th
Star Sign: Virgo
Occupation: Circulation Desk Clerk

Appearance

Hair Color: Funny should ask. My natural hair color is dark brown, but I’ve been dyeing it bright red for a couple years now. However, my hair is currently a faded orangey/light brown.
Hair Length: It’s pretty long right now; it goes down to my lower back.
Eye Color: Hazel/whatever color they feel like being that day (my eyes seriously change color).
Best Feature: I like my eyes and my eyebrows (when they’re professionally shaped). I love that my eyes change color.
Braces: Never had them, although for whatever reason I really, really wanted them.
Piercings: Two holes on each of my ear lobes, one in my cartilage/helix, and one on my nose. I want to get my tragus pierced.
Tattoos: Nope. Pretty sure my entire family would kill me.
Right or Left: Lefty all the way!

Firsts

Real Holiday: I was incredibly fortunate as a kid because my mom worked for American Airlines and my Aunt worked for Walt Disney World. That being said, I went once a year for a good chunk of my childhood. The first time I remember going was just after my sister was born and I was 4.
Best Friend: My next door neighbor. She was born six months after me, and we somewhat grew up together (she ended up moving away).
Award: It was in third grade when my cheerleading squad won first place (twice) at our competitions.
Sport: Technically cheerleading, which I did for six years, but I also played basketball when I was in 6th and 7th grade.
Concert: When I was…6 I was obsessed with Britney Spears, so my mama took me to the B96 Bash. I got to see Britney, Lou Bega, 98 degrees, and a bunch of other people I can’t remember. I had so much fun, but I hardly remember it.

Favorites

TV Show(s): Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Outlander, Ghost Adventures, Young & Hungry, and Sherlock.
Color: Purple, but I am very picky about the shade.
Song: ‘Love Again’ by Pentatonix.
Restaurant: Honestly? Any place that has amazing french fries. Sooo Arby’s, this local place called Tommy’s Red Hots, and a bar called North Side.
Shop: Half-Price Books, Target, LUSH, and DAVIDsTEA.
Books: Off the top of my head, most definitely the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas.
Shoes: Keds (or the knock offs from Payless) and strappy sandals from F21 (the ones that you buckle around your ankle).

Currently

Feeling: Tired. We’ve had gloomy weather and it’s making my super lethargic.
Single or Taken: Single as a Pringle and absolutely ok with it.
Eating: Tea. (Ok, I know it’s not ‘eating’ but I’m still consuming it.)
Thinking About: Finishing this post, what I’m going to eat for lunch, and what posts I need to get done for next week.
Watching: Literally? This screen as a type. However, I’m going to put on a YouTube video in a minute with gameplay of a Chinese horror game.
Wearing: Don’t judge me too harshly but….an Ariel (aka The Little Mermaid) onesie that I got from Target.

Future

Want Children: Yes, I have the number four in my head but I’d be happy with whatever number of children I’m blessed with.
Want To Be Married: Yep!
Careers In Mind: I’d love to be a librarian.
Where You Want To Live: I have a feeling I’d live in the city (Chicago) for a bit, but I think I’d move to wherever my family goes. We’re all so incredibly done with the winter weather.

Do You Believe In

God: It all depend on the day. I believe that their is some kind of higher power out there. Some days I call it the universe, other days I call it God.
Miracles: Yes.
Love At First Sight: Nooooo. In fact, I’m that annoying friend that’s always telling my friends to be careful when they’re already in love after a short period of time. Lust at first sight though? Yes.
Ghosts: I do, actually and I’ve witnessed some pretty cool stuff to validate my beliefs.
Aliens: Yes, just because I find it hard to believe that we’re the only living beings in the entire universe.
Soul Mates: I do, I think there’s someone out there whose soul is attached to your own. Whether or not we actually find that person is an entirely different matter.
Heaven: Yes or at least some form of it.
Hell: Maybe not Hell exactly but I’d like to think that the really evil people in life get punished.
Kissing On The First Date: Yes, there are much worse things can be happening on a first date.
Yourself: I try to, but sometimes I just need a kick in the butt.

Thank you so much for tagging me! I love this tag. I love to meet a fellow whovian, whenever I get the chance, plus Sherlock is also amazing! I loved hearing about your beliefs on ghosts, God, and all the various points about love and the supernatural. It’s hard not to think about how many things are out there that we may never know about.

Loved reading this!!! Your first concert sounds so cool. Seeing Britney would have been 10 year old me’s dream, hahaha. I’d also LOVE to hear more about your ghost stories if you’re willing to share, haha.

Thanks for the tag 😀 I’ve done this one, but it was quite some time ago so I might do an updated version!!

I wish I could remember more of the Britney part, but I can’t. I remember 98° more, hahaha.

I’ll tell you one of my ghost stories now: my friend and I went on a ghost hunt tour in a super old cemetery (they film the last nightmare on elm street there). We were walking around and heard a scream far off in the distance. I totally thought it was someone messing around, but there’s a tall fence around it with one entrance. We’d been by the entrance up until a few minutes before, and even then we’d have seen anyone walking past us because of where the scream came from. THEN later on, they were using dowsing rods to ask yes and no questions, and me and another girl heard a giggle come from right over our shoulder. It was cool, but kinda creepy.

        Haha! Aw. Still awesome though!

Oooh, that’s sooooo cool. I would LOVE to visit that cemetery. It sounds amazing. The first time I heard a disembodied voices and noises it was super weird. I’m a lot more used to it now, but it’s still unsettling at times.
